1. Who we are
Pointed is a trading name of Frameboard Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17154107. In these terms "we", "us" and "Pointed" mean Frameboard Limited, and "you" means the business purchasing the service.
2. What you are buying
Your accepted written scope records the package, extras, price, limits, payment milestones, monthly plan or self-managed handover and version. It forms part of these terms.
- Standard: £595, up to five bespoke marketing pages, 2,500 supplied words and twenty-five supplied images, enquiry form and two consolidated revision rounds
- Premium: £995, up to ten bespoke marketing pages, supplied-content refinement up to 5,000 words and forty supplied images, publishing/case-study layouts and one enhanced enquiry form OR existing booking/calendar integration; two consolidated revision rounds; no custom booking engine
Every build includes responsive layouts, contact paths, on-page SEO essentials, a private preview and factual approval. Privacy and terms utility pages do not use the marketing-page allowance. Extras are agreed before work starts. Ecommerce, payments, bookings, customer accounts and other bespoke functionality require their own written scope and quote. That scope records delivery stages, payment milestones, hosting/support and any third-party costs; the marketing-package limits and turnaround do not automatically apply. Monthly hosting is separate from the build.
Separately commissioned design, content, campaign and software services follow their written scope and the prices on our current service price list. Website-package exclusions below apply to the website package itself; they do not exclude a separately agreed service. All work is bespoke to the agreed specification. See an agreed preview, sample or proposed approach before commissioning the full project. Existing agreements retain their recorded prices and terms.
3. What you are not buying
The following are outside the build. Additional pages and any extra scope require a bespoke written quote before work starts. Email changes and nameserver changes remain excluded, and we do not guarantee search rankings:
- Email setup, migration, hosting or any change to your email
- Nameserver changes of any kind
- Writing or content beyond your purchased package or extra
- Ecommerce, booking systems, customer logins or payment processing
- Stock photography licences
- Any guarantee, representation or expectation as to search engine ranking, traffic, enquiries or revenue
- Changes beyond the rounds in your accepted scope
- Content work beyond your chosen monthly plan’s included scope
Statements by third parties. If anyone, including a Pointed partner or introducer, told you something about the service that is not in these terms or on the What You Get page, it does not form part of this contract and we are not bound by it. If you were told something that mattered to your decision, tell us before you pay and we will confirm in writing whether it is correct.
4. Price and payment
Enquire by email, WhatsApp or our short enquiry form. We agree the scope and price with you before you pay by Stripe invoice.
Standard is £595, with half to start and half on approved delivery before launch or handover. Premium is £995, with half at each stage. Other bespoke projects and extras use the same 50/50 structure on their agreed total, unless the written scope explicitly records otherwise. Prices shown are the prices charged. We are not currently VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add.
Each new website order records either a self-managed handover with no Pointed subscription, or one monthly plan: Care at £49/month, Updates at £99/month, Managed at £249/month or Managed Plus at £399/month. Each is the total plan price, including hosting. Plans replace each other. Billing begins only after verified launch and subscription confirmation. Existing agreements keep their recorded prices and scope.
5. Your brief and our timescale
The delivery window starts when the accepted start payment and complete brief are ready: ten working days for Standard and fifteen for Premium. The timescale for other services and any additional scope is recorded in the accepted quote.
Missing materials or factual approval hold dependent work. We show what is needed and prepare reminders. Reuse of existing website or social materials requires your permission; we do not invent facts or treat an incomplete brief as approval.
You are responsible for factual accuracy and your right to use any supplied logo, text or photo. You indemnify us against any claim arising from material you provide.
6. Changes
Standard and Premium include two consolidated change rounds. A round means one consolidated list of corrections within the accepted brief. New pages, functionality or a changed brief are additional scope. Work beyond included rounds uses the £75/hour reference and is quoted and agreed before it starts.
After launch, the agreed monthly deliverables and routine updates are included. Larger features and work outside the plan are quoted before we start. Unused monthly work does not roll over.
7. Your domain
Keep your own domain. It stays in your name and your registrar account. Your domain is the address people type; hosting is where your website files live. Monthly plans include our website hosting. With a self-managed handover, you arrange and pay your own hosting. You remain responsible for registering and renewing your domain. Domain charges are separate.
We provide the website DNS records and a guide for your registrar. You or your authorised account holder apply them. We preserve existing email records and nameservers; your email stays with its current provider.
Your domain remains yours if you leave Pointed. We do not become its registrant or control its renewal.
8. Monthly website plans
Care is £49/month: hosting, SSL, backups, uptime checks, security maintenance and one small supplied-content edit. Updates is £99/month: Care plus a monthly batch of supplied text, photos and service updates, with a completed-work note. You supply the finished content.
Managed is £249/month: Care, one article or case study from genuine supplied materials, two Google Business Profile posts and upkeep, SEO checks and targeted improvements, routine website updates and a short performance report. Managed Plus is £399/month: Care, two articles or case studies, four Google posts and upkeep, SEO improvements, routine website updates and reporting, plus a quarterly conversion review with one improvement within the agreed scope.
Each managed article or case study covers up to 700 words and eight photos. These content routes are included in the existing publishing structure; new service pages, redesigns and functionality are separate scope. Routine updates cover supplied text, photos and service details. We confirm larger requests before starting.
You supply genuine permitted materials, approve factual accuracy and grant delegated Google Business Profile and Search Console access. We agree materials and publication dates at onboarding. Dependent work waits for missing materials, approval or access; independent maintenance continues. Google verification follows Google’s process. No search-ranking, traffic, enquiry or revenue guarantee applies.
Either party may cancel on one month’s written notice. A downgrade also requires one month’s notice and a confirmed effective date. There is no unused-work rollover. We provide the site-file export under the agreement and retain your domain ownership. Hosting ends on the agreed exit date, with paid work and handover obligations preserved.
Failed payments pause unfunded new work and are discussed with you directly. They do not automatically delete your site or its recorded obligations. Collection, any later hosting suspension and data retention follow the agreed notice and payment terms.
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the delivered website remains the property of Frameboard Limited until payment has cleared in full, at which point ownership of the site content and design as delivered transfers to you.
The following remain the property of Frameboard Limited at all times and are licensed to you for continued use, editing and hosting of the delivered website, including outside Pointed and after a monthly plan ends: the underlying template, framework, code libraries, structural CSS and any component reused across multiple clients.
You retain ownership of all material you supply. Included third-party fonts, libraries and assets retain their own licence terms.
If you select self-managed handover, the build price includes a private transfer of the completed website source and all website assets, required licence notices and setup instructions after approval and full payment. No Pointed subscription, ongoing hosting or management is included. You arrange your own hosting and handle updates, security, backups and domain renewal. Forms and other connected services require working destinations in your own accounts before handover. Bespoke applications have their account, deployment and third-party requirements recorded in their separate scope.
10. Portfolio
We may display your website, its name and a screenshot in our portfolio and marketing. Tell us in writing if you would prefer we did not, and we will remove it.
11. Cancellation and refunds
You are contracting as a business, so statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply.
- Before we begin work, you may cancel for a full refund.
- Once we have begun work, we will refund 50%.
- Once we have delivered a site for review, no refund is due.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our total liability arising out of this contract is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
We are not liable for any loss arising from the performance of your website in search engines.
13. Data protection
We process your data as a controller in order to provide this service. We will not sell it or pass it to third parties except processors necessary to deliver the service, currently Stripe, Supabase, Netlify and Resend. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
14. General
These terms, together with the What You Get page and your agreed written quote, form the entire agreement between us and supersede anything said or written beforehand.
We may vary these terms on 30 days' written notice. Continued use of your monthly website plan after that period constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Pointed team and private design previews
The Pointed team provides buying guidance, not a binding quote, professional advice or a promise of results. A preview request is free and creates no paid order or monthly subscription. Supply accurate business facts and materials you may use, without confidential customer records. Permit reuse of an existing website only if you own or control it.
Design previews are prepared for discussion and checked before sharing. An approved preview is a coded design study, not the live business website. It does not accept purchases or enquiries. Timing is agreed with you and depends on materials and availability. Check the business facts before approving a design. Shops, integrations and other custom features require a separately agreed scope.
An approved preview is shared through an unlisted link. It is excluded from search indexing but is not password protected. Keep the link private. A preview does not transfer complete website assets or create an obligation to buy. If you proceed, the agreed design direction is subject to the paid build scope, materials and change rounds.
A paid build requires explicit acceptance of scope, price, support or self-managed handover and these terms. Initial discussions do not change an accepted contract. Search visibility, traffic and sales are not guaranteed.
