What we collect
Client: name, business, email, phone, domain, uploaded files. Prospect: name, business, email, consent record. Partner: name, email, phone, bank details on invoice.
Why
Contract performance for clients and partners. Legitimate interests plus consent for prospect outreach.
Lawful basis
Article 6(1)(b) contract, 6(1)(f) legitimate interests, PECR consent for marketing email.
Processors
Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and storage), Netlify (hosting), Resend (email), Google (authorised Business Profile, Search Console or maps services where used).
Enquiries and design previews
We use the contact and business details you provide to answer enquiries and prepare agreed design previews. Our enquiry form is processed by Netlify and notifies hello@getpointed.co.uk. WhatsApp enquiries are handled through WhatsApp. Approved design previews use an unlisted link, are excluded from search indexing and contain no forms or tracking. An unlisted link is not password protection, so do not include confidential information. No marketing subscription is created by an enquiry.
Specialist website-planning and design-review software providers process the request content needed for that work. Website-hosting, private-storage and email-delivery providers handle records, files and requested messages. Stripe processes an invoice payment only after you agree the scope and price and are ready to start. Some specialist providers are based outside the UK; ask us for their identities and details of applicable transfer arrangements. Supply business content only, without confidential customer records or sensitive personal information.
Our basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, with legitimate interests for security and service operation. You may correct your information and must check the website facts. Contact hello@getpointed.co.uk to ask about your information or request deletion, subject to required contractual and accounting records. Fonts are hosted on our own site.
Retention
Client data for the life of the care plan plus 6 years for tax. Prospect data 24 months from last contact. Suppression list indefinitely, since that is the point of it.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability. Contact hello@getpointed.co.uk for requests.
Suppression
Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to stop future marketing messages. Your email address remains on the suppression list so we do not contact you again by mistake.
ICO
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Optional website measurement
When enabled, we ask for your choice before loading optional measurement tools. Google Analytics measures visits, page journeys and engagement. Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and masked session recordings of page interactions. Advertising measurement helps us understand which adverts bring enquiries. We do not use this setup for personalised advertising.
If you allow advertising measurement, we can retain a Google ad click identifier for up to 24 hours in this browser session and attach it to an enquiry you send. Confirmed enquiry receipts with a consented Google click ID can then be imported into Pointed’s Google Ads account to attribute the enquiry. The conversion export includes a click ID, receipt time and a deduplication reference, but no name, email address, phone number or message. Not every browser or ad click provides a usable identifier.
You can accept, reject or choose these purposes separately, then change your choice through Privacy settings in the footer. Your preference is remembered for up to six months. Changing a choice may reload the page to stop a running tool. Enquiry form contents are masked from recordings and are not included in our measurement events. Do not enter sensitive information into public search fields.
Optional measurement is limited to public Pointed marketing pages. We exclude private previews, administration, client examples and confirmation pages. We do not deliberately send enquiry names, email addresses, phone numbers or message text to analytics. Google and Microsoft process permitted measurement data under their terms, including applicable international transfer arrangements. Browser choices, blockers and visitors who decline mean reports do not represent every visit. Contact hello@getpointed.co.uk about your information.
